CEO : Mr. Abhinav Puri
Mr. Abhinav Puri has been the CEO of the company since its inception and was responsible for STM’s strategic entry into Nepal after the award of license from Nepal Telecommunications Authority in November 2003. He was instrumental in setting up the organization and the infrastructure to rollout the network in the rural areas to fulfill the license objections as defined by the World Bank. Mr.Puri has translated his vision of expanding the telecom service beyond Eastern Nepal and today STM Sanchar is not only operating telecom services all over Nepal but has also commenced International Long Distance(ILD) ,and Broadband Internet Services and is going to commence cellular service on EGSM under license from NTA.
Additionally Mr.Puri, has global responsibilities as Vice President-Operations for STM Group.
He brings in a wealth of experience in general management, telecom operations and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining STM , Mr. Puri has worked with Ascom in Sales and Business development of Wireless Communications and Switching Systems. Before that he was associated with the Indian Cellular Industry wherein he was the Manager at the Cellular Operators Association of India(COAI) since its inception where he contributed largely on the introduction and implementation of the regulatory policies pertaining to interconnection, licensing and tariff modelling for the cellular industry in India. He also worked in the channel sales of Essar Cellphone(JV between Essar and Swisscom).
Mr.Puri has a Masters in Business Administration with specialization in marketing and finance. He also possesses a Graduate Degree in Computer Applications.
Country Manager : Mr. Sunil Jakibanja
Mr.Sunil Jakibanja is serving as Country Manager since 2006.Mr.Jakibanja is a Chartered Accountant(ICAI) with over 8 years of experience in audit, taxation and company matters in Nepal and India. Mr.Jakibanja joined STM in 2004 as Controller and was promoted as Country Manager in 2006. Prior to STM, Mr.Jakibanja was working with Soaltee Group in Nepal where he was responsible for financial business planning for Business Development and new Projects.
Mr.Jakibanja is responsible for all financial, regulatory , planning and commercial subjects at STM Telecom Sanchar
Deputy General Manager: Mr Sisir Pradhan
Mr.Sisir Pradhan is serving as Dy.General Manager since 2007. Mr.Pradhan is a Post Graduate in Foreign Trade with years of experience in international trade and regulatory affairs.
Mr.Pradhan joined STM in 2006 as Manager-Headquarters and was promoted as Dy.General Manager in 2007. Mr.Pradhan is responsible for all regulatory, planning and manpower subjects of the company.
Chief Manager RTS : Mr Shiva Prasad Adhikari
Mr.Shiva Prasad Adhikari is serving as Chief Manager-RTS since 2007. Mr.Adhikari is MBA with over 10 years of experience in commercial and project management. He joined STM in 2004 as Manager-Commercial and was promoted as Chief Manager-RTS in 2007.
He is responsible for overall management and operations of Rural Telecom Services in Eastern Nepal and is based in Biartnagar.
Chief Engineer – Network Operations : Mr Balendra Khadka
Mr.Balendra Khadka is working as Chief Engineer- Network Operations since 2006. Mr.Khadka has done his Masters in Telecommunications from St. Petersburg Bonch-Bruevitch State University of Telecommunications, Russia and also diploma holder in Computer Engineering and Information Technologies from St. Petersburg State University-Higher School of Economics, Russia
A top grade communications engineer, Mr.Khadka joined STM in 2004 and was promoted as the Chief Engineer in 2006. He is responsible for ensuring the QoS levels for all telecom operations at STM Telecom Sanchar. |
